Description:

NTA PEG Maleimide is one of Nanocs' thiol reactive PEG derivatives that can bind to metal ions and react with free thiol groups. NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid) is a commonly used and well characterized metal chelator. Ni-NTA resin has been used widely for his-tag protein purification. Maleimide functionalized NTA PEG can react readily with free thiol groups at pH 6.5~7.5 to form a stable thioether bond. Reaction between maleimide and thiol groups allows easy and quick conjugation of NTA tags to resins, particles and other material surfaces. PEG linker between NTA and maleimide group offers better water solubility, less steric hindrance and enhanced stability.
