Dde biotin PEG4 azide can be used to introduce biotin into biomolecules containing alkynes partially using Cu (I) catalyzed click chemistry. Hydrophilic spacer arms provide better solubility of labeled molecules in aqueous medium. The Dde protection group allows the efficient release of captured biotinylated molecules from streptavidin under mild conditions using hydrazine.
